DEREK WADE HONKE
1951 - 2022
On Tuesday, September 19, 2022, Derek left our world to meet his loved ones in Heaven.
Predeceased by his mother Julia Honke (Davis) and father Wilfred Honke, brother Russell Honke and brother-in-law George Paintin.
Left to mourn is his sister Heather Paintin, son Cory (Jean), nephew Shane Honke, niece Jenna Honke and great-niece Georgia Honke, as well as his sister-in-law Carla Moore-Honke, special friends, Bobby Steel and John Pyro Patten, as well, uncles, aunties and cousins and many friends.

Honorary Pallbearers: Cory Taphorn, Bobby Steel and John (Pyro) Patten. Pallbearer: Shane Honke.
As per Derek's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
Thank you to the staff at Percy E. Moore Hospital for the wonderful compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fisherton Cemetery in Derek's name welcomed, c/o Eileen Thomas, Box 297, Fisherton, MB R0C 0Z0.

Derek was always there for me when we had great parties on Dorchester st. He was always my bouncer at the door and kept us safe! He always had something cheeky to say to me.
