GERARD (GERRY) MILETTE


Peacefully, Gerry passed away on September 11, 2022 surrounded by family, at the age of 82.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lisa, son Dale, father Alexandre and mother Egédiasse (Giasson), three siblings, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Claire (nee Bouchard); children David (Veronica), Suzanne (Stuart), and Dennis (Bridgitte); their mother Arneil; step-daughter Brenda Letain; seven grandchildren Shane, Jessica (Steven), Daryn, Caleb, and Dale; two step-grandchildren, Ark and Arla; siblings Amanda (Henri-deceased), Art (Eva), Cecile (Ernest-deceased) David (Henriette), and Lionel (Diane); Claire's sisters Florence (Gerald) and Yvonne (Clayton); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gerry was born in Fisher Branch on June 22, 1940. He worked a total of 35 years for the Shell Refinery in St. Boniface as a power engineer and later at the Scotford Styrene plant in Alberta.
Gerry married Claire in 1985 and they lived in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta for 30 years where they made many life-long friends. He was very involved in his Church and was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus. Gerry and Claire enjoyed many trips, golfing and camping.
He was a loving father and husband and had a zest for life.
Gerry's courage, determination, inner strength and loving ways will be missed. His smile and willingness to help anytime will be a cherished treasure to remember. Rest In Peace. You are our hero. Till we meet again!
We wish to thank family, friends and neighbors for their support throughout Gerry's decline. The family also wishes to thank the staff at St. Pierre Hospital for their excellent care!
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, in St. Adolphe, MB. A live stream link will be available at https://bit.ly/3RrTWhy Password: access402
