BLANKA KUCERA
November 25, 1936 - October 16, 2022
Died peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg, following a month of hospitalizations due to complications triggered by a seemingly trivial injury.
Born in Czechoslovakia, Blanka was proud to be in Canada, in Winnipeg, and in our neighbourhood community at Deer Lodge Place. Loved animals both domestic and wild, was a loyal employee during her years at University of Manitoba, and the best, loving and loved wife that one could ever wish for. Always ready to help where needed, she was well liked by all who knew her.
As was Blanka's wish, there will be no cremation or burial ceremony. At the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cooks Creek, MB, where she often volunteered in the 1970s and 1980s, she will be remembered at the 11:00 a.m. mass on October 30.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Humane Society, or to a deserving charity of your choice.
