JACQUELINE GEORGIANA BEAULIEU
July 20, 1942 - November 9, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister Jackie on November 9, 2022, at 80 years of age. From an uncertain beginning as a foundling in front of St. Boniface Hospital, Jackie created for herself a life full of friends and adventures.
Jackie was adopted by Juliette and Tony Beaulieu, who were the best parents a girl could hope for. Their love nurtured and helped develop Jackie's special talents. Jackie had a long lasting relationship with the Sisters of the Missionary Oblates, attending Ecole Menagere in the early 1960s. There she developed her skill in needlepoint, sharing her creations with friends and family. Georgiana Warriner and Sr. Pauline Boucher have remained lifelong friends from that time on.
Jackie was very proud of her career of 39 years at St. Boniface Hospital, loving every minute of her jobs in Housekeeping, then Transportation. There was nowhere in that big hospital where she could go without staff, saying "Hi Jackie". Jackie always told us that her job was to make people laugh. That she did!
Jackie had an adventurous side, travelling with a friend to Hawaii, then camping trips, rodeo trips, and bus tour to PEI with her dear friend Beatrice. Later she went on many adventures with her sisters to Las Vegas, Mexico, Calgary and Minneapolis.
Jackie loved living in St. Boniface and could often be seen at the Paladin and The Promenade. She loved walking down Provencher visiting the shops, her bank and her special friend Norbert Colette.
Jackie was an expert on all things "Hollywood" with an incredible memory for Movies and the Stars. Many calls were made to Jackie asking, "who starred in....?" Jackie's multitude of picture albums have tracked our family history and her adventures for many years. She enjoyed looking at them till the very end.
Her many cousins and her friends from Chez Nous and 200 Masson will miss her smiling face. Jackie has joined her beloved mother and father who have predeceased her.
She will be missed by her sisters, Roberta, Suzanne and Gisele (Derrick), her nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and Vivianne, her great-great-niece, who brought Jackie so much joy this past year.
Special thanks to Dr. Nene Rush and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital who made Jackie's last days peaceful.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jacquie. Indeed she was always a very happy person, and no doubt will be missed by many, and in particular her family. Jacquie never hesitated to stop whatever she was doing during the day to say hi and share a story or two. I recall how proud Jacquie was when retelling her origins at St. Boniface Hospital. She will be missed. Condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Aleta (Former co-worker) on: Nov 21, 2022

I worked at St. Boniface Hospital for many years! Jackie was a treat to speak with and listen to her stories. Always in a good mood and always trying to do her best! Even after she retired I would see her at the Deli or walking on the street and she never failed to stop and say Hi. Condolences to her family! Rest In Peace, Jackie! - Posted by: Claudette (Coworker) on: Nov 21, 2022

I have known Jackie all my life, from the age of 7 until now. Having been good friends with Gisèle, of course that meant being friends with Jackie. But more recently, whenever I visited Mom at l'Acceuil, Jackie was always present. My Mom and Mme Jacques, loved Jackie's presence in their lives as well. My sympathies to her family. She will most definitely be missed. - Posted by: Annette Duguay (Friend of Gisele) on: Nov 20, 2022
