We are deeply saddened to announce our beloved Mother's passing.
Mom is survived by her children, Dwight (Lynn), Pamela (Wayne), Ronald, Jeffrey, Garth, her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and younger sister Beverly.
She was predeceased by her parents Hugo and Helene, and older sister Doris. Mom was raised in Lowe Farm and Brunkild where she attended school before moving to Winnipeg. During Mom's working years she held several clerical positions with Dental Offices, Revenue Canada Taxation, Child and Family Services, and Vital Statistics.
Her hobbies and interests were vegetable and flower gardening, baking, cooking, and trying new recipes. She enjoyed going to the Farmers Markets and Nurseries. Most of all, spending time with her family, grandkids, and great- grandkids.
A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface Hospital, and Deer Lodge Centre for all the expert care and attention Mom received over the past year.
In lieu of flowers, those who choose may donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
A funeral service will take place Monday, November 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 1291 McGillivray Blvd.

  • We are thinking of all Marlene's family at this time. We have not visited with Marlene for some time except for snail mail or telephone but Douglas & I remember earlier visits & Marlene always ready with her beautiful smile, and, Marlene always seemed to be extra calm & gentle lady. On her farm, near Petersfield, Marlene gave all the relatives a wonderful treat by having a family reunion. Folks from every direction arrived & spent a memorable day: kids racing around the farmyard in every direction, the older crowd enjoyed sharing stories & jokes from 'the olden days' & lots & lots of good food. It was a wonderful day Marlene created for us all. Her family is a real testament to the love she extended to all & what a 'strong' woman can do when she sets her mind to it. Kindest thoughts to you all. Sincerely Douglas & Sheila Kaminsky - Posted by: Douglas & Sheila Kaminsky (1st Cousin) on: Nov 27, 2022
