(nee BABICK)

1924 – 2022


Jean passed away peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg on Monday, November 21 at the age of 98.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (Walter) and her son Richard; sister-in-law Olga Babick and niece Donna Babick; nephew Dr. T. Babick and Patrusia; Dr. A. Babick and Ivas Babick; nephew Stanley Didoshak and Angie, Carisa, Stephen and Scott; nephew Tony Didoshak and Dalene, Ryan and Rory and other family members and friends.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, her husband, brother Roy and sister Olga.
Jean was born on November 1, 1924 in Fort William to parents, Konstanty Babick and Lucia Kusie. Growing up in Winnipeg, she met her husband Edward and were married in October of 1946.
Jean was kind and caring and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and visiting with family and friends. In her later years, she loved to travel and was not afraid to engage in various tours.
The family would like to thank Dr. T. Babick and Dr. A. Babick for their care and support throughout mom's life. Thank you to Fr. Bashutskyy for his prayers and for administering last rites, also thank you to the staff at the Home Care Team, Grace Hospital ER and Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and devotion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Canada Ukraine Foundation to support children or a charity of your choice.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Avenue with Rev. Fr. V. Bashutskyy officiating. Masks are mandatory. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
