Stella Bodnar, our beautiful wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home January 3, 2023, at the age of 91.
Stella was born in 1931 to parents, Maria and Jocephus Gurniak in Brooklands (Winnipeg), Manitoba. She attended Krawchyk School and at 16 she started work as a pressor in the garment industry where she met Edward Bodnar. In 1950 they married and raised four children.
Stella was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jeannette Gornick (1963), her mother, Maria Anne Gurniak (1980), and her brother, Stan Gornick Sr. (1996).
Mourning her loss are her loving husband Edward, their four children, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R2W 3V7 and interment will be at Brookside Cemetery.
