GERALD GREGORY OGONOSKI
April 12, 1943 – January 6, 2023

After a long battle with dementia, Gerald is finally at peace.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife Sandra of 56 years, sons Greg and Allen, and twin brother Raymond.
Gerald grew up in Narol, Manitoba and worked for the City of Winnipeg as a foreman for 30 years. Gerald loved having breakfast with his crew and would continue this tradition with his wife Sandra after he retired. Gerald liked to fish and golf. He also loved watching the wildlife in his backyard on Henderson Highway, the wood ducks were fed very well! These interests complemented Gerald's personality. Gerald was a private man who loved his family. He never spoke an unkind word about anyone.
We would like to thank our families, extended families and cousins of Gerald's for their compassion, support, visits and calls. Many thanks to Raymond Ogonoski, Donna Huculak, Doreen Lozinski, Debbie Krieg, Ricky Negrich, Doug Henry and their families. You made a hard time easier to bear.
Special thanks to close friends, Harry and Adele Dulo who visited weekly. This meant so much to Gerald.
Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a formal service.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba.

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to the Ogonoski family. I have known Gerald and Sandy as long as I can remember. After my move, I went to visit them and Gerald always wanted to join in the conversations. He was then informed ‘this is girl talk’ and he would leave. Always wanted to be friendly. Rest in peace Gerald. Let the sun shine brightly on Sandy, Greg and Allen. You are always in my thoughts. - Posted by: Marion Mahara (Family Friend) on: Jan 23, 2023
