One of my favourite teachers from elementary school. Miss Mitchell was the nicest person, and very passionate teacher. I was new to Laura Secord, she took me into her grade 3 class and made me feel at home. But, you never mess with her!😂 I have thought about her often, she made such an impact on my life. Rest in peace Miss Michell. - Posted by: Donna Alexander (Student) on: Feb 28, 2023

My deepest condolences to Miss Mitchell's (as I knew her) family and friends. I was a student of hers in grade 3 at Laura Secord School. She had so much love and compassion for her students and she also did not take any sass from any of us either. She was that teacher we all hung off of at recess or if you were not feeling well, you knew that everything would be alright as she was there helping you. She had such a warmth to her. I am so glad to have had her as an influence in my life. Rest in peace Miss Mitchell. - Posted by: Patricia Makinson (Student) on: Jan 30, 2023

Enid and I taught at Laura Secord School. She was a good friend and a dedicated teacher. Even after her retiring and moving to Hamilton, closer to her family, we kept in touch by phone. She was always so caring of everyone she knew in Winnipeg. Her phone calls and cards were always appreciated. Enid will definitely be missed. Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Connie Fiorentino Scerbo (Friend) on: Jan 28, 2023
