On January 29, 2023 we lost our beautiful brilliant mom Sandi to cancer at age 80.

Mom's baking skills were incomparable; she was known for her trifle and creative desserts. She leaves behind daughters, Mindy (Ash), Michelle, and Gillian (Ken); grandchildren, Lacey, Casey, Shane, and Abbea; great-grandchild, Tatum; brother, David Shaffer; nephew Gord (Nicole) and many family and friends.

Sandi was a true friend. When I move into my home with my 3 sons, Sandi became the best friend and neighbour anyone could ask for. She was always opening her door to me anytime I needed to chat. She was there for all occasions and milestones, with her eagerness to help with baking and her creativity. And oh my, could she bake! She came over late at night when my mom passed away and just sat with me. Even when she moved, she was only a phone call away. He smile, her kindness and most of all her friendship over the last 36 years plus, will forever be in my heart. The world has truly lost a wonderful classy lady. - Posted by: Adelle Globerman (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2023

Offering my sincere sympathies to Sandi's family. We were school friends back to the beginning. Several of us used to meet bi-yearly. Our last get-together was the celebration of our 80th birthdays which we all reached last year and Sandi, the thoughtful sweetheart, supplied the Jeannie's bakery cake. She will be missed. - Posted by: Gail Osachuk (Friend) on: Feb 04, 2023
