RYAN MATTHEW GOODMAN
February 4, 1979 - January 24, 2023
Surrounded by family at Health Sciences Centre, following a brief illness, we said goodbye to our beloved son, brother, father, partner and friend, Ryan, at the young age of 43. Words cannot express our pain and sorrow.
Left to cherish Ryan's memory are Kristyn Goodman, sons, Riley Goodman and Aidin Stefanowich and his mother Kaleigh, parents, Lloyd and Marilyn Goodman, brother Jess Goodman, grandparents, Anne Goodman, Maria and Rudy Franz, Ryan's partner Brandy Hurd, best friend Shawn (Mandy) Sigurdson, father-in-law Bill James and brother-in-law Lee James, niece Kylee and nephew Gage. Also left to cherish Ryan's memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ryan was born and raised in Transcona where he attended Bernie Wolfe School and Murdoch MacKay Collegiate. After finishing high school, Ryan attended Red River College and pursued a career in sheet metal.
Ryan was fun loving and humorous. His passions were music, playing guitar, skateboarding, and spending time with his sons. Ryan also loved to cook for family and friends. He would make the most incredible dishes and was always the life of the party.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ryan's life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., East End Arena - Upper Hall, 517 Pandora Ave. East.
Donations in Ryan's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
The struggles we hoped you'd get through, were heartache for us because we loved you. May you now find peace.

Ryan and I grew up across the street from each other during our teen years. He would bang on my window if he saw my bedroom light on when he was passing on his skateboard from who knows where. I would open it and we would talk about our day. We kept in touch a bit over the years My mom just told me today about his passing. I am very sorry to hear about his loss and my sadness goes out to his mom and dad and brother and son and family!❤️ - Posted by: Lindsay Bordush (Across the street neighbors ) on: Mar 16, 2023
