FRITZ HAGENLOCHER
January 27, 1927 – February 24, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Fritz Hagenlocher, on Friday, February 24, 2023.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Maria Hagenlocher, stepsons, Peter Gyorfy, David Gyorfy and daughter Edda Imhof. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Linda Gyorfy; granddaughters, Christina Ackland (Tom), Samantha Gyorfy, Elizabeth Gyorfy (Richard); great-grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlin, Jackson, Nicholas, Ivorie, Emma, Athena; stepson Rob Gyorfy; son Peter Hagenlocher (Evril) and grandchildren, Grace Macleod, Heidi and Samuel Hagenlocher, and Pam Kreis. great-grandchildren, Richard, Daniel, Roderick, Aila, Ewen, Lily, Julia and Sydney.
Fritz was born and raised in Bonnigheim, Germany where he grew up with his mother Lousie, father Gustav, sister Lisa and brothers, Gustal, Rolf and Enrich. On September 5, 1959 he came to Canada and settled in Winnipeg, MB. Fritz worked at Palliser Furniture for 31 years as a Supervisor in the Sanding Department until he retired at the age of 65. While at Palliser he met the love of his life, Mary.
After retirement Fritz spent his time with his loving wife Mary, they could often be found in the English Gardens, shopping or cooking together. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his smile could light up the room when he was with them.
He was a patient, kind and wise soul. He loved his wife unconditionally, and can now be at peace being re-united with her.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
