JENNIFER CAMPBELL
Peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Jennifer Campbell passed away with family by her side after a brief battle with cancer.
Jennifer will be missed and lovingly remembered by so many. Her husband Brock; children, Clayton and Reese; parent, Lloyd and Glad Lamont; brother George Lamont, (Aileen Hunt), their children, Ronan, Carson, and Eloise; sister-in-law Nancy Campbell, (Doug Laxdal), and their children, Ford, Kai, and Layla; wonderful aunts and uncles, Patricia and Bob Adamson and Thom and Linda Lamont and their families; and Brocks cousins, Craig and Lisa Lawrence and Ian and Pam Lawrence and their families.
Her radiant smile was infectious, everyone she met got to experience the endless love and caring she had for others. She was a warm and compassionate mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She had grace, kindness and love and was able to raise the spirits of those around her. She is all that is good in the world.
Jennifer spent much of her life in Winnipeg attending both Kelvin High School and Balmoral Hall, and graduated with a Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba. Post-graduation she started her career at the Toronto Dominion Bank where she excelled. After marrying Brock in 1997 Jen's focus soon became her family which was her joy and purpose, especially her children, Clayton and Reese. She delighted in their accomplishments and successes but most of all she was proud of the individuals they were becoming.
Jennifer loved welcoming people into her home. Be it a family gathering or special occasion you would find Jennifer right in the middle of all the action. A consummate host, she was able to welcome those at the door, join conversation, laugh, and serve both food and refreshment until all were satisfied. All this done with style and grace.
Jennifer's energy extended further than her family, as she was active as a parent volunteer, fundraiser and community member at St. John's-Ravenscourt School for many years. She was team manager, event planner and a constant presence at hockey and ultimate games and school functions, which led her to make many deep friendships in the SJR community. Her newest project was her work at The Nearly New Shop in support of The Children's Hospital Guild of Manitoba. Her dedication and hard work were recently rewarded when Jen took over the management of the shop which she loved.
Summers at Victoria Beach and Lake of the Woods were truly special times combining Jen's love of family and friends. She and Brock worked as a team to frequently open their cottage for warm gatherings and parties with her friends and family during her favorite time of the year.
Jennifer will be deeply missed by a wide circle of friends and she loved each and every one of them. The Victoria Beach girls, the SJR community, the Splurge group, and her extended family were so very important to her. She received numerous well wishes from friends and family while in hospital which were read aloud to her. All with messages of love and the positive impressions she left on people.
Jenny was a ray of sunshine in everyone's life. Her optimism, warm smile and kind words will be remembered. Her final wishes were for everyone to live their fullest and best life.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre. The care and compassion provided to Jennifer is deeply appreciated.
Flowers gratefully declined. Please consider a donation to CancerCare Manitoba.

We met Jen back in 2009 when our daughters started Kindergarten at SJR. Jen was always the first one to approach you in person with her radiant smile, say hello, ask about your day, and make you feel important. We remember Jen through all the numerous events at SJR (kindergarten through graduation) and even the grade party that she and Brock hosted at their home in junior school. We are deeply saddened by Jen’s passing. Our deepest and sincerest sympathies go out to Brock, Clayton & Reese. - Posted by: Charu, Ajay and Rhea Gupta (Friend and SJR community ) on: Mar 12, 2023

We are very sad. It has been 13 years of association with Jen and Brock. Rhea and Reese are SJR Lifers. Jen will make it a point to spot you in any SJR gathering and will reach you to say Hello. We fondly remember the Grade Party at her residence in River Heights. One of the most cheerful personalities we have come across. We will always remember you Jen. Our deepest condolences are with the family. - Posted by: Charu, Rhea, Ajay (SJR Friends) on: Mar 11, 2023

I am writing this with great sadness. Although I personally didn't know Jennifer all that well, but remember her smile and kindness, and Brock is my cousin. We lived away from the Manitoba family, but kept up with all the comings and goings of the family through all the Aunts and Uncles. We as a family are heartbroken for Brock, Reese and Clayton. It has been a very hard year for this family, and can't even imagine the grief. We offer our love and prayers to all of you. We were shocked to hear about Jenny’s passing. We send our love and deepest sympathy to Brock and family. It’s seems just like yesterday when we met a bubbly little girl with an infectious smile and outgoing personality. We would watch her grow up at your annual Christmas and dinner parties. She grew to be a gorgeous , graceful teenager who was fun loving and always took time to show interest in what we were up to in our family life. She was always smiling and happy. At her parents 50th anniversary she took over and organized the event and we recognized her confidence in her role as daughter, sister, mother and wife. She emanated sunshine, warmth, and a love of life. In her lifetime she accomplished so much. We are thinking of her daily and will always remember her as someone who taken too early. - Posted by: John and Sylvia Milner (Family friends) on: Mar 08, 2023

Although my time with Jen was limited, I always felt as if I could call her one of my close friends. My first memorable interaction with Jen was when we volunteered at a graduation party, both of our boys still being in grade 11. As mentioned by many, “Jen’s radiant smile was infectious and everyone she met got to experience her endless love and care”, I felt the exact same way after spending time with and around her. To Brock, Clayton, and Reese, our hearts ache for your deep loss. May all your memories with Jen as a wife/mother give you all the strength and reasons to live your life to the fullest; as she did. Our deepest condolences. Sanjay, Madhavi, Kostubh, and Jia - Posted by: Madhavi (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2023

I'm so sorry to hear of Jenny's passing. I knew her when we were young - she would come out with her parents and brother to the cabin during the winter. We would all cross country ski.
