Being neighbors with Kay for almost 15 years, we had many opportunities to chat, share some summer veggies, enjoy her garden flowers, and while Nick was still living, have many laughs over jokes he would share. • Mrs. Harman was a wonderful person, and her sense of humour was contagious! Her huge garden was always her pride and joy. I will never forget how she tolerated our sneaky little dog Dandy, who would go and raid carrots from her garden, but not damaging anything, just gently pulling the carrot out, and eating it there beside the garden, leaving nothing but the tops as evidence! Her cinnamon buns were the best, and their home always smelled of something delicious cooking! I hadn't seen her in a few years, but her photo shows her as beautiful as I remember her from years ago. To her family, you will always have your precious memories of your Mom to hold in your hearts forever. • Mrs. Harman, as I called her, was a part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. She was witty, happy and very creative. It was a pleasure to be in her presence, especially when she made pickled anything (but especially pickled carrots!). I was lucky to encounter her again during our mutual time spent at CancerCare this last fall. Even then, her first instinct was to crack a joke that had her, Shirley and I laughing. Rest well.
