  • We were saddened to hear of Ron's passing. I remember serving with Ron on the board of the North Winnipeg Nomads at the time that we took over the building at the Old Ex grounds. As a volunteer, I remember that Ron was very generous with his time. He was willing and able and would participate and carry out any tasks needed to keep the club running. Ron was very personable and had a great sense of humor. We put in a lot of hours and had lots of good times at the club in those days. I know that he remained active on the board for many years after I left the club. To Diane and the family, We would like to express our sincere condolences at this time of your loss. Hold on to your memories of the good times and to each other. Rest in Peace Ron. - Posted by: Aubrey and Moira Settee (friends) on: Mar 25, 2023

  • Ron was a huge volunteer for the Nomads beginning from the time his 2 sons started playing football. He continued on after his sons outgrew the Nomads, he, because of his passion to the Nomads became the face of the Nomads up until the time of his illness. Thanks Ron you will be greatly missed. - Posted by: blaine kashmark (coached his sons in football) on: Mar 25, 2023
