DANNA FERRY

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Danna Lee Ferry (nee Shkwarek) at age 69. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, and lived in Montreal, Toronto, Vermillion Bay, and Kenora.
Danna was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and proud Metis, who leaves behind her beloved husband and soulmate, Hugh; daughters, Allison (Phil) and Caitlin (Brock); sister, Judith Lynn (Corey); nephew, Guy; siblings-in-law, Pat, Roger (Joan), Keith (Pat), and Derek (Lauren); cousins, Wayne (Amy), Lynn (Manfred); and many more family members and friends. Danna joins her parents, Audrey and Pat; and brother Rick (Kathryn).
Danna's fierce determination and gentle kindness underpinned her work as a registered nurse. She worked in hospital for 25 years before moving into clinical care, specializing in foot care and becoming a published research author / Certified Diabetes Educator.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oak Table in Winnipeg, or to a charity of your choosing.
Cremation will take place; no service will be scheduled at this time. We are grateful for your understanding in our time of mourning.
