CHARLES TED DURUSSEL
Born November 28, 1949
Passed March 8, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we must announce the passing of our dear husband, father, brother, and friend.
On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, a beautiful heart stopped beating.
Ted was a kind, generous and loving husband to his wife Linda. He was a caring father who always put his two sons, Louis and Julian first. Ted was a patient and loving Grandpa to his two grandsons, Leo and Reuben. He enjoyed playing and laughing with them.
Golfing was his passion which he loved to share with others. He was a golf instructor for many years and helped many people improve their games and grow their love for golf.
Ted had a successful tax business; he helped many people for over 40 years.
He loved the outdoors, loved to stop and smell the flowers. Ted loved dogs, particularly his faithful Babe. He loved old songs, and he knew all the words which he sang with his wife Linda often.
He loved cards, especially poker, which he played with his friends for much of his life. He was a trivia expert and enjoyed doing the crosswords, especially from the New York Times. He consumed many books, and loved to share his knowledge with others.
Ted was taken from us far too soon. We will miss his laugh, funny stories, and jokes.
He lived life to the fullest.
We will miss him forever.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future. If you wish to honour Ted's memory you can make a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society in recognition for his love of dogs and animals.

Til we meet again.

  • Our deepest sympathies to all who loved Ted. Ted was a great story teller. So much enthusiasm, hand motions, facial expression and gusto was put into the reenactment. Ted, may the Lord keep you in his loving arms and welcome you to your eternal rest. Your beloved dog Babe is waiting for you. • Our condolences to Linda and family on your loss of Ted. He will forever have a place in our hearts because had it not been for his persistence we would never have met. Ted was our cupid. As teens we spent many fun times at Ted's weekend house parties. And we are married to this day. We will remember Ted as a humorous and outspoken person who was never afraid to call “a spade a spade” and who took interest in all topics of conversation no matter what. He was truly an independent thinker. His love for you will surround you forever. Mary Anne and Barry Shore - Posted by: Mary Anne and Barry Shore (Friends) on: Mar 25, 2023
