GERALD ERIC SNYDER
January 2, 1947 - March 10, 2023
We are with sad hearts to announce the passing of our brother, uncle, and great-uncle Gerry.
He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Bissett and then left back to Winnipeg to Red River College in 1964. He had a hard struggle in life starting with Polio at age seven but was a strong-willed man who worked very hard all his life and managed on his own for most of it. He enjoyed all his travels and adventures, which gave him many memories and stories he often shared while making us all laugh at his humour.
He will be forever missed by sisters, Hazel Begin, Mabel (Don) Wiebe, Vera (Orval) Woolsey, and brother Barney (Debi) Snyder, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Irene and George, sister Bonnie, brother-in-law John Paul, nephew Trevor, great-nephew Tearyn, and favourite grandma Caroline Boulette
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. He was a Winnipeg Jets fan so please feel free to wear your Jets gear to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerry may be made to the Bissett Nuggets, make cheques payable to Bissett and Area Historical Society, mail to: Joan Bjornsson, 45 Hindley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2M 1P5, or to the March of Dimes at marchofdimes.akaraisin.com.
Family and friends may sign a book of condolence at www.glenlawn.ca.
