CECILE EVA MARIE GREYEYES
(QUIRION)

We are sad to announce the passing of Marie at Bethel Home Personal Care Home in Selkirk, Manitoba on March 20, 2023 at the age of 74 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Walter of Scanterbury, Manitoba, her brothers Roger (Marge), Bill (Paula), her sister Donna, her daughter Liseanne who she gave up for adoption at birth, her aunts, Eileen, Audrey and Marlene as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Edith Quirion as well as by Donna's son Philippe.
Marie loved animals all her life and in particular, horses, cats and dogs. She would take any stray cat into her home and adopt them. She liked to call them her fur babies. Marie also had a love of old country music and she performed karaoke with her mother at various hotels in Winnipeg and elsewhere. Marie also liked to joke around and make faces to get people to laugh.
Marie had a battle with cancer for at least seven months and fought hard to stay with us for as long as possible. We would like to thank the caring staff at Bethel Home PCH who stayed with her right up to her last breath.
There will be a viewing at Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba on March 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. for family and friends before cremation takes place.
Further details will be announced once final arrangements have been decided re: burial of her ashes.
