ANTHONY MICHAEL "TONY" MATLASHEWSKI

 July 27, 1937 - March 23, 2023

Anthony Michael “Tony”, age 85, formerly of Dauphin, Manitoba, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Souris Personal Care Home. Tony was born on July 27, 1937 in Keld, Manitoba near Dauphin.
During his elementary years he attended Kosiew School in Keld and Dauphin Technical Collegiate for his senior years. After completion of school, Tony moved to Winnipeg and was a clerk for Gillis and Warren Ltd. in Winnipeg. Tony returned to Dauphin where he obtained work with Pepsi Cola Company and met and married Delores Doria Pawluk. Later that year Tony started work as a door-to-door milkman for Manco Dairies working his way up to Sales Supervisor. He continued his career in the Dairy Industry with Beatrice Foods as the Dauphin and area Sales Manager until his retirement. Tony kept busy over the years as a Union Rep for the RWDSU, AFL-C10 CLC, he was a member of Dauphin Elks Lodge No. 57 and loved working his hobby farm on the original family homestead in Keld up against Riding Mountain National Park. He especially enjoyed his beekeeping of 50 hives, of which he sold his honey every fall locally in Dauphin. Tony and Doloris enjoyed traveling and camping with their young family in their little Bowler trailer.
Predeceased by his wife Doloris Doria Matlashewski, Tony is survived by his son Michael Matlashewski, daughter Wanda (Wally) Matskiw and granddaughter Amanda Matskiw. A private service was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Tony was laid to rest beside his wife Doloris at the Brandon Cemetery
