I met Wally about 1965, at the Brooklands Speedway. He was always a good guy, would help anyway he could. Him and his buddie Kirk knew a lot about racing and if you could get them talking you would learn a lot from them. A couple of years ago I ran into an old friend Wayne Imrie, he invited me for coffee with him and Wally. For the next couple of years we had coffee together almost every night. I enjoyed every night listening about the old guys from Brooklands Speedway. We will miss his knowledge about racing. One of a kind he was.
