May 7, 1920 – March 25, 2023
With gratitude for all the years we have shared and yet sadness for losing someone so dear, we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marybel Alice Hillsden (nee Lendrum) at just six weeks short of her 103rd birthday.
Her memory will be cherished by her children, Ruth (Arnold), Murray (Jane), and Gayle (Les); her grandchildren, Robert, Beverly (AJ), Michael (Lauren), Steven (Melissa), Christopher (Ashley), and Jason (Alex); as well as her great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Taylor, Avery, Olive, Theo, Remi, Iver and Jackson.
Marybel was born on the family farm in the rural municipality of Franklin near the town of Ridgeville, MB where she lived until moving to the city to work. There she met and married Charles Victor (Vic) Hillsden in 1946. They celebrated 74 years together before his passing in 2021.
A private celebration, for immediate family only, of Marybel's life will be April 8, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. The celebration will be livestreamed via www.greenacresfuneralhome.com.
