GILLES ARTHUR MARIUS

July 24, 1938 - May 12, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gilles Marius on May 12, 2023 at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface at the age of 84, with family by his side.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marilyn (nee Lohr) of 63 years; his children, Sharon (Jim) and Paul (Tracey); grandchildren, Krystle (Matt), Brittany (Lindsay), Cody and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Matix, Daxton, Mikayla, Jameson, Remi and Finley. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Raymonde Marius and Denise Marius, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theophile and Louise, mother-in-law Rose Lohr, and brothers, Raymond and Louis.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses, health care aides and all other staff at Actionmarguerite (formerly Tache Centre) 5AB and 3AB for all their love and care they provided to Gilles over the last five plus years.
In keeping with Gilles’ wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Please honour and celebrate Gilles by having a drink, telling a joke and having many laughs.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in Gilles’ memory to Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

We are deeply saddened that you are gone from this world physically,
though it brings us comfort
knowing that you are now at peace.
Your spirit will continue to live on throughout all the lives you touched
with your love, kindness and humour.
