Peacefully, with her family at her side, Tillie, aged 92, passed away at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
Tillie will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Dennis (Shirley) and Kenneth, brother-in-law Thomas (Adeline), grandson Jeffery (Kaitlynn), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tillie was predeceased by her husband Ernest, of 67 years. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, grandson Jamie, granddaughter Heather, and daughter-in-law Echo.
Tillie and Ernest operated a dairy and grain farm outside Ste. Anne from 1947 until their health declined in mid 2000s. Tillie enjoyed many things in life including her big vegetable garden, baking homemade bread, cakes, and cookies. Tillie always loved going out for lunches with family and friends, some of her favourites included grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches, Chinese food, and ice cream. Another favourite of Tillie's was going for bingo in Giroux and her casino trips.
The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Youville Nursing Home for the care while she was a resident. A special thank you to Sister Irene Rioux, who was a daily visitor. Also, a special thank you to family friends, Shirley Krawchuk and Phil Carter.
A graveside funeral will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Green Aces Cemetery, Highway 1 East at Navin Road.
Donations may be made to Villa Youville Nursing Home in Tillie's name.
