WILLIAM LARRY FREDERICKSON

December 7, 1953 – June 17, 2023

Larry, much loved husband of Gladys (Irvine) (deceased), passed away peacefully at home.
Beloved son of Henry and Jessie Frederickson (deceased) and stepmother Irene Frederickson (deceased). Dear brother of Gayle (Benedictson) and Darlene (Frederickson) and stepbrother of Donna and Jackie. Larry will be lovingly missed by long-time family friends, Diane and Wally and by half-brother Terry. Larry was a loved uncle and great-uncle to nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

Larry will also be greatly missed by very good friend Steven and all the other wonderful people from Village Canadien Co-op; by all the caring people at Pulford Community Living Services; and by the great coaches and many friends from Special Olympics Bowling.

The family would especially like to thank Larry’s co-workers, the administration, and the neighbours of Village Canadien Co-op for contributing such value to Larry’s life. He was very happy living there.

In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulford Community Living, to Special Olympics, or to a charity of your choice.

Rest in peace Larry -

We will miss you always.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Larry was in our S.O. program at Coronation lanes. He was usually the first one in the door on Saturday mornings. Each Saturday we always had a conversation about many subjects. Be it snow clearing or his diet. Always cheerful and enjoyed his bowling to the fullest. We will miss Larry. Our condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Sheila and Jim Llewellyn sr. • Larry was a friend and a good neighbour to everyone that he met at Village Canadien, he was a model member and excelled at showing concern for his community. Often I would be coming into the co-op and see Larry either sweeping or shoveling the sidewalks and common areas depending on the season. Larry was a friendly, talkative, and hard working person, and these qualities did not go unnoticed by anyone who came into contact with him. Often he would regale you with stories of his bowling exploits and speak proudly about his family. Larry has been an important part of our community for many years and he will be missed by all that knew him. My deepest condolences to his family. - Posted by: David Gawthrop (Friend) on: Jul 10, 2023

  • My condolences to Gayle; Darlene & families on the passing of Larry. Larry was one of the many bowlers that I coached for over 20 years. He was very mild mannered; quiet & looked after Gladys. I attended their wedding & also Gladys funeral service. My prayers to you all & May He Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Margaret Martin (Friend bowling coach) on: Jul 08, 2023
