With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, pépé, uncle and friend, Eddie Gurican.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 49 years, Suzanne; son Ethan (Tina); daughter Nanette (Marcel); precious grandchildren, Samuel and Sylvie; as well as loving relatives and friends.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents and four siblings. He was very proud of his Slovak heritage. Never a traveler, he spent his life in Dufresne, Manitoba. He enjoyed his years serving as municipal councilor for the RM of Tache, working at Loewen Windows, farming the home place and baling with Rudy. He loved polka party and was an avid antique collector.
Sincere thanks to Sally and Monique for all of their support. We also appreciate the care provided at Ste. Anne Hospital, Ste. Anne, MB.
A private gathering will be held.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Eddie's passing. My early memories of Uncle is him stopping with his navy blue half ton to give me a ride home as I walked from school 2 km away. In Grade 6 he let me borrow his guitar for a school Christmas Concert. My Grandparents, with my Dad and his sister and brother, and Uncle's parents and children came to Canada together in 1939 from Slovakia as war was happening. The two families bought farms in Arondale, where previous Slovaks they knew had settled. The farms were across the road from each other.
