Donna Jansens passed away unexpectedly in Winnipeg, MB, on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the age of 72. She is survived by her husband Leo, her three children: Dana Jansens of Toronto, ON, Nicolas Jansens of Heidelberg, Germany, and Kimberly (Kevin) Franklin of Winnipeg, MB, her four siblings, two grandsons, nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.
Donna spent her early years in Saskatchewan and then grew up in Kitchener, ON. She studied at Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, SK, in the 1970’s, and was married to Leo Jansens in Medicine Hat, AB, in 1979.
In 1987, the family, which then included three children, moved to Winnipeg, MB, where Donna lived for the rest of her life. She and Leo operated their store, Pen and Paper, in Winnipeg, from 1989 until the present day.
Donna was very musical and her beautiful piano playing was a gift that she used to minster to others throughout her life. Donna loved people and will be greatly missed.
A service to celebrate Donna’s life was held at Rowandale Baptist Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
