BERNICE LEADBEATER
Bernice Nettie Evelyn Leadbeater (Kowaluk) was born on January 18, 1943, and peacefully passed away on September 14, 2023. It is with deep sorrow we announce the loss of our mother at the age of 80.
Bernice was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba to parents, Pauline and Steve. She attended high school in Gilbert Plains, then moved to Winnipeg. She married Larry Leadbeater on May 18, 1968. Bernice was employed at Ogilvie Flour Mills, Air Canada, and other businesses until retirement. She enjoyed curling, golfing, bowling, baking, and traveling to different places. Mom loved music which she played all day. She loved Daniel O'Donnell songs. She was always busy and out and about with friends.
She leaves behind those who she cherished and loved, sons, Ryan and Jason (Karen); sister Elsie, sister Donna; sister-in-law Linda; and brother-in-law Bev (Jayne).
Bernice is predeceased by husband Larry; son Reid; mother Pauline and father Steve; and her brothers, Lawrence and Ernie.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Bernice's life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the United Church in Meadowood (1111 Dakota St.) with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to one of the choices below: Canadian Diabetes, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

Bernice was a wonderful sister who was kind and loving. Family was important to her and our family had many precious times together with her and Larry and Ryan and Jason. She will be truly missed.
