Anthony Stephan Hendricks, 90 of Winnipeg passed away at the Winnipeg Health Science Centre Hospital on September 21, 2023.
Anthony was born in Kreuzberg (Fraserwood) Manitoba on March 9, 1933. Eventually he met and married his wife Jarice who hailed from nearby Gimli. Anthony spent his entire working career at Canada Packers. As devoted Ukrainian Catholics, Anthony and Jarice worked tirelessly on different projects and committees and even the world famous “Perogie Hotline” with their church family. Anthony further demonstrate his commitment to the Ukrainian community by running the bar at the Ukrainian Pavilion at Folklorama for many years.
Anthony was predeceased by Jarice, his wife of over 50 years; his parents and most of his siblings. Anthony is survived by his children, grandchildren and even a great-grandchild, as well as several cats in the family.
Anthony always was a man of his word and integrity mattered a great deal to him. Unfortunately, that cannot be said for everyone and Anthony had to carry the pain of some of their actions his entire life.
“My children, the time for me is truly past. I have loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take; and love one another for my sake.”
Prayers will be held at Holy Eucharist Parish (460 Monroe Avenue ) at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1st. Funeral Services to be held at Holy Eucharist Parish (460 Monroe Avenue) Monday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Reception with internment to follow at Fraserwood Cemetery, Fraserwood, Manitoba.

Bruce - My condolences to you on the death of your dear father. The last years have been tough on both of you and, although I know you will miss him terribly as you move forward, I am glad that some of the worry and stress of his illness is now past for you. You have a great memory and I know you will treasure the good times with your dad and your mom for years to come.
