• So very sad to hear yesterday of your loss. Cubby was a very good friend to my Dad, Johnny and our family. We spent a lot of time at each other’s places. I remember when we were young kids, stopping over to drop off some surplus fish he had. Always reaching out a hand to help people in the community and never expecting anything in return. He was a huge asset to our community and will be missed. • I have the best memories of Cubby, a more giving heart cannot be found, it wasn't all that long ago I had a very nice talk with Cubby and Rose, my condolences to the family...I cherish the words he told my son, I have known your dad since he was knee high. • I have known Mr. Barrett my entire life. My father was friends with Cubby and always talked highly of him. The community has truly lost a pillar of the town. So much has been done for my home town thanks to Mr. Barrett and his family.
