LEO BARRON
Leo passed away comfortably and peacefully at home on May 28, 2024.
He is survived by Gertie, his wife of 64 years, two children, Elizabeth and Joe (Mel), four grandchildren, Dustyne (Cory), Tracy (Nadim), Jai, and Shay, four great-grandchildren, Amir, Layla, Riel and Rouge, his sister Jeanett and brother Warren (Carol).
He was predeceased by his father and mother, and 12 siblings.
Leo was a proud member of ANAVETS Unit 283 and was the recipient of Member of the Year; Certificate of Appreciation: Canadian Friendship Award; Order for Service; Life Membership and his favourite Honorary Member of the ANAVETS 283 Ladies Auxiliary.
Celebration of Life will be held at ANAVETS Unit 283 at 3584 Portage Avenue, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations were made to ANAVETS Unit 283.
Friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life in casual dress.
The family thanks WRHA Palliative Care Program and Home Care Program for their guidance and compassion.
