November 3, 1934 – June 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mina Halas, our beloved Mom, Baba, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Heaven gained an angel when Mina passed the morning of June 25, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Mina was predeceased by her husband Nick, her parents Teenie and George, and her brother Bill. She is survived by her children Paul (Jo Anne), Michelle (Derek Moore), George (Lily), Dianne (Arley Laroque); grandchildren, Frances (Jordan) and Tyler (Emily) Halas, Odessa Moore, Natalina and Orina Halas, Taitum (Cassey), Keesyn and Koby Laroque; her siblings Eleanor, Richard (Patty), Mitch (Lynda); her brother-in-law Gerald; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We will remember our Mom/Baba for her kind heart, beautiful smile, and the twinkle in her eye.

As per Mina’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Longer obituary to follow.

  • I would like to offer my Sincere Condolences and prayers to the Halas family. My first introduction to this wonderful family was through YBC Bowling many many moons ago and later in my nursing profession and our church. Mina and Nick cherished their family with all the strength and values given to them through their love of each other and their faith.
