It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy on Sunday, July 7, 2024. surrounded by family.
Guy will be remembered and greatly missed by his son Shawn, daughter Lisa (Steve) and grandson Brady. He will also be missed by his sister Lucie, brother Leo (Donna), brothers-in-law, Lorne, Calvin and Bruce (Lynn), sisters-in-law Helen and Margaret, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Guy was predeceased by Donna, his wife of 53 years and his parents Felix and Gilberte Vergnano.
Guy was raised and attended school in St. Norbert. He had various jobs until he became an aircraft mechanic for Northeastern for many years. Guy was an active member with the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed playing pool and cards with friends.
Though Guy lived in Winnipeg, he and Donna spent a lot of time at the cottage in Hillside Beach. Guy was always a handyman fixing things and helping others. He enjoyed working on his jigsaw puzzles, crosswords and always had time for a game of cribbage.
Brady was his true pride and joy. Papa always enjoyed spending time and watching sports on tv with Brady.
Dad we will miss your funny comments, unique sense of humour and stories.
Goodbye Dad… We are so sad to see you go, but you are now with Mom and we know you will always be close. You will be in our hearts and what great memories we have.
As per Guy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
