We are saddened to announce the passing of our husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ronald Olinkin on July 12, 2024 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg.
Ronald is survived by his wife Stella and children, Barry (Gail), Susan and Brenda (Jason); grandchildren, Meaghan (Jaret), Cara (Jade), Christine (Tyler), Brittany (Pat) and Kaily; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Arianna, Blake, Ben, Nora, Mason, Logan and Sophie.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Stan and sister Joyce.
Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He married Stella Kempa in July 1957. He spent most of his life in Transcona and was employed by CNR for 30 years. Ronald truly enjoyed being around family, as family meant the world to him; especially so at the country cottage in Chatfield where he enjoyed country life to the fullest. After early retirement, he enjoyed many destination trips and casino bus trips with close friends. In all, it was a wonderful life journey with 67 years of marriage and 90 years of a healthy life.
We would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch for their loving care.
As per Ronald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
