CHRISTOPHER RYAN BIRD


It is with great sadness we share that Christopher Ryan Bird, of St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba passed away on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. Chris was born on June 17, 1977, to Frank and Shirley Bird in Winnipeg, MB.

Chris is survived by his wife Jolene, his children, Kaitlyn (Alejandro), Carlee (Sebastian), Victoria, Garret (Kaitlyn), Lucas (Kat), his grandchildren, Daisy (5), Sage (3), Violet (2), Oliver (10 months) and the much anticipated Olivia, his parents, Frank and Shirley Bird, and sister Carolynn (Tony). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins and close friends who all held a special place in his heart.

A Celebration of Life and burial will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Paroisse Cathédrale Saint. Jean Baptiste at 151 Caron Street, St. Jean Baptiste, followed by a reception at the St. Jean Centennial Hall, 203 Caron Street.

The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you donate in Chris’s memory to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation – Cancer Care in lieu of flowers.

We would also like to thank all of Chris’s health care team with a special thanks to Dr. Dhala, Dr. Goldenberg, Dr. Hurton and all the nurses, the palliative care team and support staff at Boundary Trails Cancer Care for their exceptional care and support through his six-year battle.
