Sadly, on December 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with colon cancer, Kalman passed away embraced with love and at peace.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

I met Kalman in Winnipeg at a small restaurant called The Java Shop. That was in 1960. He painted my portrait in several styles, we were great friends and then we lost track as I moved to the US for awhile. May God free him from pain and suffering now.
