It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward at Health Sciences Centre, loving father and grandfather, at 85 years.
He leaves behind son Glenn Eiers; daughter Tracey Harling; grandchildren, Dylan and Chelsea Klish. Edward was predeceased by his wife Elsie.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Edward Eiers. He was my husband's life long closest friend from childhood, his best man at our wedding, Special memories during our time living in Toronto, traveling to Niagara Falls on weekends. After moving back to Manitoba, he married Elsie, and even after we moved to BC, we kept in touch, I had a long visit via telephone after Elsie passed, reminiscing about the antics he and Dan pulled as youngsters. May your precious memories of your dad and grandfather Ed, bring you comfort & sustain you. I was so saddened to hear about the death of Edward. He was a best man in my wedding party. I married a military guy so travelled across our beautiful country. In later years I would see him at different family events and would have a chance to have a chat with him. He was always smiling and always had a joke.
