ELIZABETH KITH

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Elizabeth, on December 30, 2024

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Diane (Ron), Dennis (Shannon), grandchildren, Brian, Andrew, Nicholas (Grazia), Daniel, Elaine, Collette, Laurie (Jeff), great-grandchildren, Cooper, Jorden, Nicholas, Madisyn, great-great-granddaughter Olivia.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, six sisters, and three brothers. She was also predeceased by her husband, John, in 2003, after 53 wonderful years of marriage. She loved to play crib and travel, and had her pet Alfie to help get through the loss of her husband. In her later years she enjoyed the companionship of Tony.

Elizabeth was born in Elma, MB, and moved to Winnipeg at an early age. She met and married John in 1950, and together they built a life of love and dedication while raising their family. They both worked for many years at CN Railways, where they shared a commitment to hard work and family values.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 100 Day Street, Transcona.

The family kindly requests no flowers. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her honour.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I meet your mother at cribbage on Tuesday nights many years ago. She loved her cards. She will be greatly missed by all of us - Posted by: Susan Dokken (friend) on: Jan 08, 2025

  • We met years ago, mother of an old friend. Always nice to talk to, down to earth...hard to find now a days. I am sure she will be missed. - Posted by: Vic & Jan Franco (Friends mother) on: Jan 06, 2025

  • Dennis and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Elizabeth was one of the most genuinely kind and honest woman I’ve known. I will always cherish the memories of playing crib with her and the sparkle in her eye when she’d ask “Another one?” I hope you find much comfort and love in your memories. - Posted by: Kierra Kissack (Friend) on: Jan 04, 2025
