Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACQUELINE JOHNSTON
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Jacqueline (Brunette) Johnston on December 30, 2024.
Jacquie loved deeply and was loved deeply. She leaves behind the love of her life Steve and their children, Amie (Matt), Scott (Kelly) and Jered (Nico). She was Grandma (Lulu & Yoyo) to Calla, Mason, Norah, Patrick, Isabel, Molly, Emma, Gracelyn, Hallie, Natasha, and Sarah.
Also mourning her loss are her mother Mary, siblings, Tony, Denise, Chris, Colline; cherished in-laws and every member of her large extended family. Jacquie had a gift of enveloping people into her life and leaves behind many special friends and others whom she took under her wings and genuinely cared about.
Jacquie was born on an air force base in France and at an early age made the journey with her parents to Winnipeg, which was home. Jacquie’s boundless generosity shone through even in her childhood. She was a giver and a helper. With a Christian foundation, her spirituality and faith were evident.
Jacquie was devoted to her career and was respected and valued both within and outside the formal education system. She had a particular passion for teaching children how to read.
Above all, Jacquie cherished her family. They were the heart of her existence, her driving force, and the purpose behind every moment of her life.
In lieu of flowers and in the spirit of Jacquie, we encourage you to tell the special people in your life that you love them, make a meal for someone who needs it, or donate to a charity of your choice in her name.
Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. January 18, 2025 at Eastview Community Church, 315 Maxwell King Drive, East St. Paul.
The family requests that friends visit Jacqueline Johnston 's tribute wall at www.bardal.ca where condolences, photos and stories may be placed for all to see.

My deepest condolences to Jacquie's family and friends. I had the distinct privilege of working with Jacquie for many years when she was a reading tutor for RETSD. Jacquie was a truly gifted and dedicated educator. In her many years of working with students, she was personally responsible for teaching countless numbers of children how to read. Jacquie will be dearly remembered by a population of young educated adults who learned to read, thanks to her. It was a blessing to know her. - Posted by: Janet Coleman (Reading Clinician who worked with her) on: Jan 14, 2025

I offer my condolences to the Johnson family. I had the absolute pleasure working alongside Jackie in schools in the RETSD division. She was such a lovely, kind, caring person and staff and students loved her. Her positive spirit and twinkle in her eyes when she spoke to you, made you feel loved and special. She was an angel on earth and gone too soon. You have earned your wings Jackie. My thought and prayers to the family as you grieve the loss of this wonderful person and soul! - Posted by: Carla Bobychuk (Coworker) on: Jan 12, 2025

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Jaquie at Wayoata school. We shared many lunch time laughs and stories and I still use the Christmas punch recipe she shared that year with us. She was a lovely person. - Posted by: Charlene Fossen (Worked with Jacquie) on: Jan 12, 2025
