Surrounded by the love of his family, Jim peacefully left this world to be with his Saviour on January 30, 2025.
Jim was born June 21, 1949, to Paul and Helen Zurbriggen of Elgin, Iowa. He is survived by his wife Becky (Cann) of 47 years, daughter Heidi (Brian Neufeld), son Tim (Jasmine), and cherished grandchildren, Zackery, Ella, Zoé, and Annabelle. Jim also leaves behind his brother Tom, and extended family and friends throughout Canada and the USA. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Bob.
A memorial service for Jim is planned for Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Oakbank Baptist Church.

Dear Beckie & family, it has been one full week since Jim's memorial service. So sorry we could not be a part of that lovely gathering, but we were both involved with Mission Fest that weekend, and we were in training sessions, which followed in serving through Manitoba Harvest with Whyte Ridge after Mission Fest. There seems to be never enough hands and vehicles to keep up with these needs. So sorry to hear of Jim's passing, but he is now in the presence of the Lord, WOW, and no longer suffering. So happy for him! Earl & I are just so pleased we were able to stop by that one time & have a short prayer with him. We trust it was a bit of an encouragement. We did not know Jim was so ill at the time. May God fill you with His peace as you & your dear family navigate this new path in life, one that is inevitable for each one of us, unless the Lord returns first. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
