Passed away peacefully Friday, December 27, 2024 in Winnipeg at the age of 90 years.
Predeceased by his wives, Theresa (Deegan), Sylvia (Windeatt) and his sister Stephanie Braschuk.
Stan is survived by his children, Richard (Holly) Burt, Mark (Patricia) Windeatt, Denise (Larry), Colin, David (Darlene) Windeatt, Christopher (Kelly) Burt, Elizabeth (Stephen) Horne, Carol (Gord) Ennis and Margaret Lecompte.
Stan was a two-time Junior Canadian Dominion National Basketball Champion, 1952 and 1953. He enjoyed wildlife, painting, photography, pastoral care and singing in the Blessed Sacrament Parish Choir.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Transcona, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with a light lunch to follow and interment at Assumption Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kevin Grace and the staff of Park Manor for their care and support over the years.
