LORRAINE HUPE

November 11, 1943 - March 15, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, who peacefully passed away in hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

She leaves to mourn, her daughters, Cheryl (Paul), Karen (Gary), and Paulette (Joel); grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay), Rebecca (Travis), Julia (Donnie), Sarah, Monica, Krystal, Jeannie, Chantale, Jeremie and Angela. Lorraine also leaves to mourn her sister Lucille Fontaine, and her brothers, Gilbert, Jerry, and Denis Morin. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Lena Morin.

Lorraine was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Special thanks to doctors and staff at Ste-Anne Hospital for all their wonderful care.

As per Lorraine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Donations to Ste-Anne Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

You were always there

when we needed you,

No task too great or small,

With a loving heart and a willing hand,

For us you did them all.

Many thanks for the years you gave us,

And for all the times we shared,

We only pray that when you left us,

You knew how much we cared.

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

You suffered much in silence,

You fought so hard to stay.

You faced your task with courage,

Your spirit did not bend,

But still you kept on fighting,

Until the very end.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around you,

And whispered, “Come to Me”.

So when we saw you sleeping

So peaceful, free from pain,

We could not wish you back,

To suffer that again.

You didn’t deserve

what you went through,

So He took you home to rest,

God’s garden must be beautiful,

For He only takes the best.

  • To all of Lorraine’s siblings and family. Sincere condolences, I grew up with all the Morin family, across the lane. We were friends all through school and even with LENA, and Lucille later in life. She is at peace now. Beverley Bettens.💐 - Posted by: Beverley Bettens (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2025
