KAREN LYNN SHAFFER
With deep sadness we announce the passing of Karen. After a year long battle with cancer she is at rest. During her last moments, Karen was surrounded by so much love from her family and friends.
She loved so many people and impacted so many lives in her short time but everyone knew how much she loved her husband Todd and three girls; Andrea, Megan and Heather. They will continue to live on with Karen’s memory and fulfill all the things that she was not able to do.
The family will not be having a formal service for Karen, as per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare Manitoba, In Memory - CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Karen was known to us as Jeff's 2nd mom. He always had nothing but good times and good laughs with Karen, the girls and Todd at the lake and the many bbq's and get togethers. We were glad that you included him in your last gathering to reminisce and share a laugh. Our condolences to you Todd and your beautiful girls. Be sure to keep sharing the funny memorable times together to keep her spirit alive. Karen and I knew each other from her restaurant days and everyone loved her. She escorted me to get my wisdom teeth out in about '82 and we laughed about it for a long time.
