It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Gladys Marie Green (Giesbrecht) on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Gladys was predeceased by her parents Pete and Agatha; sisters, Mable (infant) and Maggy (Wiebe); brother-in-law Eldon Wiebe; and son-in-law Peter O’Kane.
She is survived by husband Glenn Ismond, brother Norm (Sharon) Giesbrecht of Portage la Prairie, sister Bernice (Robert) Kroeker, son Richard of Jasper, Alberta and his daughter Leah. Son Dewayne of Victoria, British Columbia and his son Marcus (mom Danielle), her daughter Polly, and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Gladys enjoyed playing the piano, reading, playing computer games, working on puzzles with friends and cheering on her beloved Jets. She said her absolute favourite thing was creating memories while talking and laughing with friends. She will be known for her strong work ethic, independent spirit and without any doubt, her sense of humour.

The family wishes to express special gratitude to the healthcare team on the 5th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital, specifically those providing palliative care, for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a Manitoba Animal Rescue of your choice.

I am so saddened to hear of Gladys' passing. I officiated her and Glenn's wedding ceremony and they were such a joy to work with. Her humour was second to none and their deep love for eachother was very evident. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Sheri Rehill (Acquaintance) on: May 24, 2025
