SAMANTHA ANN BURCH

February 17, 1988 – May 25, 2025

It is with devastated hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Samantha Ann Burch (née Cross) on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Samantha fought for two years before succumbing to her second diagnosis with ovarian cancer at 37 years old. She was surrounded by friends and family and loved fiercely to the end.

Samantha is survived by her devoted husband Tyson, her son Anson (six), and her daughter Esme (four). She was loved by her parents, Tom and Sandi, and siblings, Brianna (Bill), Alexandra (Dillon), and William. Samantha will be deeply missed by Dennis and Judy, Tanya, Kelly (Regan), and her dear friends, Aaron, Kelsey, Erin, Marinus, Matt, Aimee and a great deal more. Auntie Sam will be affectionately remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on June 14 at 11:00 a.m. at McGregor Armoury, 551 Machray Ave. The service will also be livestreamed at seasonsfunerals.com by clicking on Samantha's memorial page to manage overflow issues and for out-of-town well-wishers. Wear your brightest colours and fanciest hats! Friends and family can ask for private reception details.

  • I met Ms. Burch back in the 2022-2023 school year, I was in her grade 10 class before I moved to the grade 11 course. She had been there every step of the way. She was such an amazing person and she is truly one of a kind. She helped me adapt to the new environment of her classroom. I think about her often, I wish I said my see you later if I had known I’d never meet her again 🫶🏻 - Posted by: Row (Student) on: Jun 13, 2025
