Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD JOSEPH ADELARD LAMOUREUX
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerald Lamoureux on June 15, 2025. Surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Transcona, Gerald peacefully left us at the age of 65 after a courageous battle with cancer. His strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit - his "swords-up" attitude - inspired everyone who knew him.
Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elaine; his children, Lisa (Todd), Joel (Ewelina), and Christine (Jacob); his grandchildren, Taylor (Taylor), Anthony (Saxony), Jaida, and Julien; and his great-granddaughter, Oakley. He is also survived by his sister, Lorraine (Robert), and brother, Roger (Carol). Gerald also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family and friends. His warm smile and friendly nature made him everyone’s buddy, and his presence will be deeply missed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theresa Tipping and Louis Lamoureux; his stepfather, Cecil Tipping; his siblings, Laurent, Leo, and Nordette.
Gerald retired from the Royal Canadian Mint in 2018 after 33 years of dedicated service. In his retirement, he enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing with the Friday Afternoon Golfers at Oakwood Golf Course, and spending treasured moments with family and friends.
The family sincerely thanks the many healthcare professionals who assisted him, as well as the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Palliative Care team for their compassionate support, which enabled Gerald to remain at home surrounded by loved ones.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard A. Beinert officiating at Seasons Funeral Chapel 576 Balsam Crescent in Oakbank, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Care or a charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to Elaine and family. I had the pleasure of working with Gerry for 33 years. He was quite the character, funny, always knew how to handle people, very easy going. A Good Man. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. Before he retired he talked about how he was looking forward to spending more time with family and friends. You are all in my thoughts. My Condolences to Gerald's family and circle of friends. I worked with Gerald at the Mint for a number of years and I have to say he was an astonishingly pleasant person to work with and to be around especially with his sense of humor. There were those of us at work who rode motorcycles and those who didn't and that sometimes defines the person. Age wise I'm right behind you Gerald so as you ascend to that highway in the sky God bless and may the spirit provide everlasting memories and eternal faith in your future journey. One day we'll meet again. R.I.P brother. - Posted by: Kris Anderson (co-worker) on: Jun 27, 2025

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Gerald‘s. Working with Gerald at the mint was always an adventure. He was a very helpful and cheerful person, and I cannot for the life of me remember him ever being otherwise even on his bad days and we all have them. He was very considerate, which only shows that he had great respect for himself and others. I pray that he is resting in God‘s arms. REST IN PEACE, my friend.
