  • Oh, how I loved my "Aunt Noni"! She gave me my first hair "frosting" in my teens and was my favorite hairdresser even though we lived miles apart. She went to school with my dad and became fast friends with my mum once they married. So she's been in my life since I was born. I have fond memories of Aunt Noni and Uncle Roy from my childhood, they were indeed a lively pair and there were a lot of laughs when they got together with my parents. I was ever so fortunate to visit with Aunt Noni in October of 2023 when I toured about the stomping grounds of my parents for the first time in over 25 years. She was as beautiful and charming as I remembered her to be and felt blessed for the opportunity to talk about her memories of my parents. I spoke again with her a couple times since then, the last being in April this year; her voice was strong and she was feeling good the day we spoke. I will miss her presence in this world. My sincerest condolences to Colleen and family, I'm sure you will miss her every day; she had a beautiful spirit and so loved her family. - Posted by: Marvyl Stephenson (Daughter of Noni's friends, Bud & Dawn Stephenson) on: Sep 24, 2025

  • A lovely lady as I remembered as a small child, we visited over the years as I am the daughter of Chickie Campbell's from Brandon, and Pauline McCrory's niece. Thoughts are with the family at this time. - Posted by: Heather MacDonald (Pauline McCrory's niece.) on: Jul 24, 2025

  • Go way back with Mrs Coates. Was in her hairdressing class at Pollucks. Was a fun group & Norma Jean made it even better. Even had the odd party at her home. - Posted by: Teresa McMullan (Former student) on: Jul 15, 2025

  • I knew Norma and her daughter Colleen years ago. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. She was such a lovely person. - Posted by: Darlene Van Mulligen (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2025
