Like he had for the last 60 years, Dad held Mum’s hand as she left our world on July 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Yvonne will be missed by her loving husband Ashley MacKenzie, her daughters Michaela MacKenzie, (Victor Sharp), and Aislinn MacKenzie-Kleber (Stefan Kleber), her granddaughters Megan and Gillian Lussier, who brightened their Granny’s day, each time they visited, called or Facetimed with her, her grandson Glenn Lussier, and all of our family in, and from Scotland.
There will be no service, instead, think of our Mum’s gentle, generous spirit and do something to help another without expectation, as she did her whole life.
Mum battled Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for the last 11 years. Thank you to those that helped ease Mum’s pain over this journey: Dr. Eng-Lyan Chan, Dr. Hobson and team at the Movement Disorder Clinic, and to the Golden Links Lodge Team and her Resident Family.
Donations will be gratefully appreciated by Parkinson Canada or the Movement Disorder Clinic via the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation.
