Peacefully, at age 71, on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Jane was predeceased by her father Leslie, her mother Mary, and her brother Bruce.
Jane will be remembered by her brothers Clint (Janet) and Michael (Doris), her sister-in-law Lynda, nephew Michael, nieces Sarah (Lucas Roger), Molly (James Blake) and Hannah (Bruce Grenkow), and grandniece Remi Blake. Also surviving Jane is her very good friend Gracie Greenham and Gracie’s family. Jane is survived by her beloved cat Oliver - who was an excellent companion, especially this past year.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Jane graduated from the University of Manitoba with an Arts degree and later graduated from nursing at the Health Sciences Centre. She primarily worked for the Victorian Order of Nurses.
Jane was a voracious reader, enjoyed great travel adventures, and loved animals. She developed friendships that lasted for decades. Jane had a beautiful eye for decorating, was a talented photographer, created the most delicious dinners, and contributed the best desserts to every family meal.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to Dr. Suffia Ahmad, CancerCare Manitoba, the community Palliative Care Team, Comfort Keepers, WRHA Homecare, and Riverview 3East. Each demonstrated great compassion, professionalism, and responsiveness when Jane was in their care.
In accordance with Jane’s wishes no service will be held.
