Karen was the first of 4 children born to the family of Bob and Kay Turner. As a young child and big sister to Kim, Kent and myself, we could count on her to get any school or community updates etc from Issac Brock School down Spruce street from us. Eventually we outgrew our 2 BR house and moved to the Silver Heights area. While in nursing training at the old Grace hospital, in my opinion, her two major accomplishments were coming in first in her class and also meeting Dave at a Youth for Christ event for your adults, and upon completion she married and soon had a family of her own. As she neared the completion of her career they began travelling to Mexico and eventually Mexico became their second home. Karen and Dave had 3 children. Janice, her eldest passed away much too soon. Kevin ( with a lot of help from his long standing partner) looked after her during Dave’s final days and after his passing and James, who lives in Alberta did what he could since Daves passing. Karen has had a great life that no longer was complete without Dave by her side. May she now rest in peace. - Posted by: Coulter Turner (Brother) on: Aug 02, 2025
